Alternative to T3 Code

Podium tracks task dependencies. T3 Code links threads to pull requests.

In Podium, you and your agents share issues and dependencies. In T3 Code, you work in threads with optional worktrees and Git actions beside the conversation.

Choose Podium if…

  • Your tasks depend on each other, and you want agents to record those links.
  • You want one agent to coordinate sessions you can open in Chat or CLI.
  • You want check notes, screenshots and HTML kept after the task worktree is gone.

Choose T3 Code if…

  • You want Windows or Linux desktop apps and iOS or Android apps.
  • You want in-app pull request review across GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps or Forgejo/Gitea.
  • You want phone alerts through T3 Connect when agents finish, fail or need input.

Add one feature in both tools

Say you're adding conditional questions to Folio, a form builder whose editor, publishing flow and response collection are already being built.

  1. Step 1: Define the change

    Podium

Ask your agent to coordinate the feature: create an issue for conditional questions and record its dependency on the editor and publishing tasks. The issue gives you a place to keep the brief and progress as the conversation continues, without starting every task immediately.

Podium capture A requested change becomes a linked task. podium.do

    T3 Code

Start a thread in the Folio project and describe when the follow-up question should appear. You can attach files and type # to add a pull request as context, so the agent knows what the change touches.

  2. Step 2: Split the work

    Podium

Keep the editor and publishing work in separate issues, with an agent session and worktree for each. Leave conditional questions waiting on those tasks, and make the final journey check depend on the feature, so the board records the order the work needs.

    T3 Code

Give each independent change a thread and select a new worktree to separate its files. Cmd/Ctrl+Enter starts a thread in the background and opens another draft; selecting several models can also send one prompt to separate threads and worktrees for different attempts.

  3. Step 3: Check progress and steer

    Podium

Look at the issue board to see which Folio tasks are in progress and which are blocked. Open an individual agent when you need to change direction; Chat and CLI are two views of that session, so you can talk directly to the agent doing the work.

    T3 Code

Use the thread sidebar to return to the editor, publishing or conditional-question conversation, and pin threads you need to revisit. Send a follow-up to steer a running turn where the provider supports it, or stop the turn when you need to interrupt the work.

  4. Step 4: Review the finished change

    Podium

Ask the agent to attach the journey-check notes and screenshots to the review issue, then inspect those files alongside its recorded progress. Podium stores copies with the issue, so you can return to the evidence after the session ends and its worktree is removed.

    T3 Code

Open the diff beside the thread and create a pull request with a generated title and description. The Pull requests page lets you review changes and comments, request reviewers and merge; on GitHub you can also rebase or merge a stack when the feature spans several branches.

Where T3 Code is the better pick

  • Desktop and phone apps

Pick T3 Code if your daily machine runs Windows or Linux and you want a packaged desktop app. Its iOS and Android apps also connect to your running environment, with mobile alerts for finished work or requests for input through T3 Connect.

  • Pull request work

T3 Code brings pull request review into the app for GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps and Forgejo/Gitea repositories. Open the Pull requests page to review comments, check out a branch or merge; GitHub stack actions also let you rebase and merge related branches.

Trying both

Try each tool on a separate change in the same repository. Podium separates issue work with worktrees; T3 Code can give each thread a worktree and branch. Keep those checkouts separate while comparing how you plan, steer and review the work.

You can use your existing Claude or ChatGPT/Codex login in Podium, and T3 Code also connects through provider accounts. Begin with a fresh task in each: Podium records issues and T3 Code records threads.

Questions you might have

Do I have to run a coordinator for every change?
No. You can start a single issue and work directly with its agent. Ask for coordination when the job needs several sessions, and keep any tasks you are not ready to start in the backlog.
Can either tool run agents while my laptop is closed?
Yes, if the agents run on a machine that stays on. Podium supports a Linux VPS you maintain; T3 Code connects to a remote host you run over SSH, T3 Connect or your network.
Does changing tools replace my coding-agent subscription?
No. Both support existing provider accounts, and the provider still determines your plan capacity. T3 Code currently charges no T3 Tools subscription fee; your agent usage and remote host costs remain separate.
