Alternative to Multica

Podium builds a linked plan from conversation. Multica brings agents to your team’s issue board.

Ask your Podium agent to coordinate linked tasks, then open any agent session to send instructions. In Multica, your team comments on shared issues and directs agents together; assign a squad when you want its leader to delegate.

Choose Podium if…

  • Your tasks wait on each other, and you want those blocking links recorded.
  • You want to send instructions to individual agents through chat or their native CLI.
  • You want to describe a change in conversation and have your agent make editable, linked tasks.

Choose Multica if…

  • Your teammates need to comment on issues and steer agents together.
  • You need a desktop app for Windows or Linux.
  • You want estimated token costs by run, issue and agent.

Add conditional questions to Folio

Say you're adding questions to the Folio form builder that appear only after a yes answer, alongside work on the editor, publishing and responses.

  1. Step 1: Record what must happen first

    Podium

Ask your coordinator to add conditional questions and record that they wait on the editor and published form. It creates the issue with those blocking links and makes the final journey check wait on it.

    Multica

Under the form-builder issue, put the editor and publishing sub-issues in stage 1 and conditional questions in stage 2. When stage 1 is done, Multica notifies the parent issue and wakes its agent, if one is assigned.

  2. Step 2: Give agents their parts

    Podium

Ask the coordinator to divide the work and choose a coding agent for each part. Each runs as its own session and can report back by mail. Open a session to send follow-up instructions.

    Multica

Assign the work to a squad with a leader and member agents. The leader delegates through issue mentions, members reply there, and replies can trigger the leader again; each member has its own tool, model and runtime settings.

  3. Step 3: Check progress and redirect

    Podium

The board shows conditional questions blocked while the editor and publishing tasks run. Open an agent session to send instructions, and switch between its chat and CLI when you need the terminal.

    Multica

Open the execution log to see run state and inspect the transcript. You can add instructions to running Claude Code, Codex or Grok tasks, or stop and retry a run while keeping its history.

Multica capture Multica documentation: the run transcript records the agent’s actions. multica.ai
  4. Step 4: Inspect the result

    Podium

Ask the agent to attach the Folio prototype and check notes to the journey-check issue, then present a review offer. Accept the work or send feedback through the offer. Attached files stay available after the session or worktree is gone.

    Multica

Read the agent’s result and inspect attached deliverables on the issue. For code changes, the linked pull request shows CI and mergeability; review the diff on GitHub, then merge it yourself or ask an agent to in a comment.

Where Multica is the better pick

  • Several people directing agents

Workspace members can discuss an issue in threaded comments and send instructions to agents they have access to. Replies can join a running task, queue another run or restart it, and the issue keeps the discussion attributed to its authors.

  • Windows and Linux desktops

Multica has downloadable desktop installers for Windows and Linux as well as macOS. Desktop starts its runtime automatically, and its account and work are shared with the web app.

  • Usage and cost estimates

Multica shows usage and cost figures for runs, issues and agents, with dashboard charts by day and agent. Figures combine provider-reported amounts where available with token-rate estimates.

Try one change in each

Try an existing Git repository with your coding-tool logins. Podium supports native Claude and Codex subscription logins; Multica uses each tool’s account configured on your computer.

Start the trial on fresh work. Each tool keeps its own issue records, artifacts and discussion on its server, while code stays in Git.

Questions you might have

Does Multica Cloud mean my agents run in the cloud?
Multica Cloud hosts the coordination service. Your agents execute on a computer you connect, which can be a remote host you operate; keep that runtime online for the work to continue.
Can I use either tool for one small change?
Yes. Podium can start an interactive session or a single issue, and Multica can start from one issue or a quick chat. You can add sub-issues as the work grows.
Does an agent finishing mean the task is done?
A run ending and a task being accepted are separate events. In Podium, inspect the evidence and accept the work or send it back; in Multica, check the issue status and result, since a completed run alone does not finish the issue.
Do I need a separate issue tracker?
No. Both have native issues, so tasks and agent results live in the tool. Multica can optionally link GitHub pull requests.

Written by Podium from public documentation and source code. The Folio job is an illustration, not a benchmark. Captures come from each product’s own site or documentation; Multica’s show its documentation example. Podium sources were checked on 9 October 2026; Multica sources on 8 and 9 October. A separate agent reviewed the evidence.
