# Develop the documentation

> Preview and validate the Podium documentation workspace locally.

This page is for contributors changing the documentation repository. Run the Mintlify workspace locally while you edit, then use the same commands that validate links and the hosted build contract.

## Start the preview

From the repository root, install dependencies and start Mintlify:

```sh theme={"system"}
bun install
bun run docs:dev
```

Open `http://localhost:3000`. The preview reloads when an MDX page, component, snippet, or configuration file changes.

## Run the checks

```sh theme={"system"}
bun run docs:check
```

This checks internal links and anchors, follows links inside reusable snippets, and runs Mintlify's pinned `validate` command. The `docs:build` script runs the same validation command; it does not emit a local production directory.

## Work inside the app

The equivalent workspace commands are:

```sh theme={"system"}
bun run --cwd apps/docs dev
bun run --cwd apps/docs check
bun run --cwd apps/docs build
```
